Mosaic

Feature Overview

The mosaic feature allows users to blur sensitive information within a scene. This functionality is crucial for protecting privacy and securing sensitive data by obscuring details that should not be visible to users. By applying a mosaic effect, specific areas of a scene can be rendered indistinct, ensuring that sensitive information is not easily discernible. This feature is particularly useful in virtual environments where privacy concerns are paramount, allowing creators to manage and control the visibility of sensitive content effectively.

Mosaic List

To manage mosaic effects within a scene, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Mosaic Module: Open the "Mosaic" module to begin working with mosaics in your scene.
  2. View Point List: On the right side, a list of points within the current scene will be displayed. This list helps you identify and manage areas where mosaics can be applied.
  3. Navigate to Points: Click on a specific point in the list, and the canvas will automatically navigate to the corresponding location within the scene. This feature allows for easy identification and editing of areas that require mosaic effects.
  4. Filter Display: Check the "Show Only Mosaic Points" option to filter the list, displaying only those points that have already been blurred or are in the process of being blurred. This helps focus on areas that require attention regarding privacy and sensitive information.

These tools and options provide a streamlined process for applying and managing mosaic effects, ensuring that sensitive information within the virtual environment is appropriately obscured.

Adding Mosaic

To apply a mosaic effect for privacy protection in a scene, follow these steps:

  1. Enter Mosaic Editing: Click the "Add Mosaic" button on the canvas to navigate to the mosaic editing page.
  2. Apply Mosaic: On the mosaic editing page, hold down the right mouse button and drag across the canvas to blur the areas that require privacy protection. This action allows you to selectively obscure sensitive information within the scene.
  3. View Mosaic Points: After adding mosaic effects, the affected points will be listed in the editing list on the right side of the interface. This list helps you keep track of which areas have been blurred.
  4. Adjust Mosaic Size: Use the slider in the toolbar to adjust the size of the mosaic effect. This allows you to control the extent of the blurring, tailoring it to the specific needs of the scene.

These steps provide a comprehensive approach to managing privacy within virtual environments, ensuring that sensitive areas are effectively obscured.

Erasing Mosaic

To remove a mosaic effect from an area in the scene, follow these steps:

  1. Select Eraser Tool: Switch to the "Eraser" tool in the toolbar to begin the process of removing mosaic effects.
  2. Erase Mosaic: Hold down the right mouse button and drag over the area where you wish to erase the mosaic. This action will remove the blurring effect from the selected region, restoring it to its original visibility.
  3. Save Changes: After completing the erasure, click "Save" to confirm the changes. This action will return you to the mosaic addition list.
  4. Monitor Progress: In the mosaic list, you can view the progress of the mosaic processing, ensuring that all necessary adjustments have been successfully applied.

These steps allow for precise control over the application and removal of mosaic effects, facilitating effective management of privacy within the virtual environment.

Previewing After Mosaic Application

Once the mosaic processing is complete, you can preview the results by clicking the "Preview" button. This allows you to see how the applied mosaic effects appear within the scene.

Note: Before the mosaic processing is finalized, the display end will not show the added mosaic or any erasure effects. This ensures that only completed and confirmed changes are visible to users, maintaining the integrity and privacy of the scene until all adjustments are finalized.
